Top 5 Search Engine Keyword for December 14, 2009

I check my website stats from time to time and it helps me see not only how my visitors arrive to my website, but it also springs new ideas into my head about articles I should be writing. If enough people are looking for that information on the web, then obviously there is a need for that information on the web. Creating a blog post that is useful and informative helps you achieve that expert status with your clients when they do go through your blog digging for information about your products and/or services.
Below are the top 5 keywords used Yesterday to arrive on my website. If you notice, most of these keywords signify, to me, that the bride or potential client, is in the research stage of their planning (gathering information/research) process… the perfect spot for your name to enter their minds. You know what they say in marketing, the sooner your name enters your client’s mind, the better of a chance you have of winning that client over.
So here are the keywords used to arrive at my sites, organized by search engine, then in order of hits, from Higher to lower. For the Google.com results, I will add a link to the article that is ranking high on the search engine results… Or you could just go to Google.com and type the keyword or copy and paste it into the search bar and see for yourself how high I rank… All of these are on the first page of Google.com…

It may seem like my website, Houstonpartybooths.com does not rank high for Yahoo or Bing.com, but it is actually ranked number one for many keywords… So that leads me to the conclusion that most people still use and trust Google.com for their research.

Interesting. I definitely think it is always a good idea to check your search logs to see how people are landing on your site. I would also recommend Google Analytics if you aren’t already using it. You’d be surprised sometimes how people find your site, and it may give you ideas on new ways to market.

I use too Google Analytics but is more interesting to you have socio-demographic data to know exactly who are visitors
Is there a FREE online tool that I can tell how often a keyword or search-term is being searched on search-engines (esp. Google). I know that Overture had something but I don’t think it is still available?
Those are really some strange words to come up. I will have to try out that technique myself.

Keyword tool Google helps us to find keyword that have good traffic but so hard to seo it to top 10. Your way is good for new site
just search on yahoo…type in original wedding songs and it should give u many songs….thats what i did to find a father/daughter song when i got married last week.but also since its with your mother…why not ask her what her fav. song is and chose that…..that would also be a nice thought.

A lot of people swear by Market Samurai too. Personally I use Google’s free adword keyword and then use the allintitle feature to assess the competition.

Great post and great examples. I have about 15 websites that I monitor for both myself and my clients. I am solely responsible for their design and SEO, and my stats are that Google represents almost 80% of all the search engine traffic.
Now that could be because I optimize very well for Google in particular, but I don’t think so because when I check my rankings in cuterank software, my Google position in the SERPS are pretty equal to Bing and Yahoo.
