DJ Francisco, AKA Simply FrankBloggin’ForWeddingVendors.com was created to help wedding vendors blog enhance their website experience. It is aimed at helping wedding vendors (you); get informed of the proper ways to put use your website, Generate more traffic and Increase the number of sales from the brides/people that land on your website.

My Experience:

It all started way back in 2004. I remember that I was good at my craft, DJing, I was good at playing great music and having people dancing all night long. I remember that I would get nervous, anxious, and happy at the same time, just at the thought of DJing at a Wedding or any other social event. I love music, I love dancing and I really enjoy playing music for other to enjoy.

One Problem, No one had heard of me and I was only getting approximately 10 bookings PER YEAR!

Not really something to be proud of… So I looked at alternative methods of promoting my business. I had the confidence to be able to do what I love to do and I had enough experience to be able to do all the necessary things that a DJ must do at a Wedding or any other private function.

I gradually pick up things pretty fast and I love computers and programming, so my first instinct was to create a website so I did. Well, I soon realized that a website does me NO good if I have no visitors or no one visiting it. It’s like having a business in the middle of an island that nobody can get to. It’s useless.

By that time Google was still uprising and there were actually more people using Yahoo.com  than Google.com, however, my aim was to rank high on Google.com because for one it was easy to search and also, it was easy to find what you were looking for.

I set up my website, optimized it for what I thought were good keywords, made sure I had used enough keywords… But still I was no where to be found by Google.com. I was ranked by MSN and Yahoo, but to Google, I was non-existent.

After a year or so, the frustrations and stress were starting to get to me.  I was hopeless and I really though there was absolutely No way that I could rank in the first page of the search engines. I started to believe what other people were saying. I was believing Ignorant people that stated that the only way to rank high for Google was to pay someone to do it for you… Can you believe that? That’s the most absurd thing I had ever heard… first thing is how would you pay someone and second is why would Google do that? It made no sense to me at the time and it makes no sense to me now.

I just thought, there’s got to be a better way.

It wasn’t until the end of that year that I read about blogging and how much the search engines loved them. Well, for those of you who know me personally… you know that I am not the most outgoing person in the planet, in fact I have everything going against me. I’m an introvert, I’m a mathematical person, and reading and writing have always been the hardest things for me to do ever! So I was not only going up a river without a paddle, I didn’t even have a boat to ride up the river!

Finally! I found the secret recipe  in 2005 and slowly saw my website climb the search engine rankings. I even made a post about it a year later, which you can read here Houston Wedding DJ and Houston Quinceañera DJ (Fantastic job planning).

So all in all it took me 3 Whole years to find this recipe.

Does that mean it will take you 3 years to rank high for google? Possibly…

However, my second website, for Photo Booth Rentals, was immediately ranked by google, thanks to the power of knowledge that I gained through my first website. This website was ranked within a month, and was #1 within 6 months. If you search google for PHOTO BOOTH HOUSTON (Click the link to see for yourself) you will se my site rank #1. There are many other search terms that I am #1 for but that’s not important.

SO WHY THIS BLOG?

To share my knowledgeg with you!
